A tribute to director Hiyao Miyazaki, one of my heroes. Created completely in Vue 6 Infinite, minor post in Painter.

Superb.

Other than Castle in the Sky, it also reminds me of one of my books from my childhood that I can no longer remember the name off. There was a reason no one saw the castle in the sky; everyone just keeps on staring forward. No one looks up to see the wonders of the world. You never know what could be there. ;)

It's amazing how the images you have here are so sharp and detailed they look like photos. That is really astounding. Do you do this professionally?

Thank you for the faves and kind words. Some of the older images in my gallery, like Castle in the Sky, were created with Vue Infinite, which creates very realistic images using 3D shapes and so forth, like what was used to create most Pixar movies. Others begin as photos, and were "painted over" in Photoshop. Lately, starting with Robin Hood, I'm painting from scratch, using only a line drawing to guide me as I copy the photo. I've always enjoyed realism. It gives me a lot of satisfaction.

Thanks again. Oh, and yes I do get some work professionally, usually from photographers. Take a look at [link] my professional site, if you're interested in what I do.

Have a great day!

Thanks! It was fun. I used dead trees for the "roots". Enjoy!
